Children’s and Families Worker
The role: Part-time Children's and Families Worker (3 or 4 days equivalent per week)
Ampthill Baptist Church (ABC) wish to further develop our children’s ministry, enable children to grow spiritually, develop our outreach to unchurched children in our local community and offer pastoral support to children and families. We are passionate to enable children to come to know Jesus. The current children’s work is run by an enthusiastic and talented team of volunteers, led by our Children’s Worker.
The role includes:

Oversight and development of children’s ministry

Taking the lead and being present across all our children’s events

Supporting and co-ordinating volunteers

Enabling a summer holiday club

Offering pastoral support, seeking to build meaningful relationships and encourage faith

Communicating with parents, children and the church

Serving on our staff team

Fostering links with local schools and other groups
We are seeking a godly, gifted, enthusiastic leader committed to the gospel who will lead this work forward and be a great addition to our ministry team.
The post would ideally suit someone with a few years’ ministry or teaching experience.
There is a genuine occupational requirement for the postholder to be a committed Christian. Enhanced DBS check required.
