Chariots of Fire is the inspiring true story of Eric Liddell, Harold Abrahams and the Olympic team of 1924, who brought Britain one of its greatest sporting victories.

The 1981 film won four Academy awards, including Best Picture, and will be back on the big screen in a brand new digitally remastered version this summer (in UK cinemas from 13 July) as an official part of the London 2012 Festival celebrations.

Damaris Trust and More Than Gold have combined to offer churches the opportunity to make the London premiere on 10 July.

'Chariots of Fire is a wonderful movie,' says Damaris co-founder Nick Pollard. 'It is one of the most honest and uplifting portrayals of Christian spirituality ever put to film.

'Our hope is that churches will make the most of this unique opportunity.'

The competition is based around how churches are going to use Damaris' free resources in their outreach this summer.

The resources are designed to help community groups, churches and schools make the most of the opportunities for outreach the rerelease of the film brings.
