Event and Venue Information

Telford International Centre 

TICEntranceSituated in the heart of the UK, Telford International Centre's hugely accessible location offers all the benefits of a city centre, without the hustle and bustle. Sitting opposite the main venue are restaurants, bars, hotels and leisure facilities. Telford town centre is just a short walk away, providing further opportunities for entertainment and activities. The Centre has a very large car park and onsite parking is free for all delegates. Disabled spaces are available in Car Parks 2 & 3. Car Park 2 is situated adjacent to the accessible lift to E1 and E2.

Accommodation 

reservation highway logo If you are planning to stay for the weekend and need help with finding accommodation, then perhaps Reservation Highway can help?   By partnering with them, we have been able to negotiate special rates with local hotels for delegates for the duration of the event.

Caravan and Campsites

There are several campsites in the area that accommodate tents, caravans, motorhomes and glamping. See our list for more information and how to book.

Event Catering 

Please be aware that no refreshments are included within the cost of your Assembly ticket. Catering outlets, including a Costa Coffee, offering tea/coffee and hot and cold food will be available throughout the day within the venue and there are plenty of places to purchase food in the town centre, a few minutes walk away.  Alternatively, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch.

There will be a team of BSL interpreters available for all the main sessions throughout the weekend.  If you would appreciate the services of our BSL interpreters, please indicate this on your registration.

First Aid

First Aid will be provided by the Telford International Centre. 

Out and About

TelfordTownParkTelford, named after Thomas Telford the renowned civil engineer, is home to one of the biggest town parks in the UK. This 450-acre Town Park is a 5 minute walk from the Telford International Centre and is definitely worth a visit whilst you are there.   It is here that the Parkrun will be taking place on Saturday morning.
